Illusionist Hans Klok’s celebrity assistant Pamela Anderson was not the only star to bring a little magic to the Planet Hollywood Resort in late October 2007. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Strip’s latest stomping ground for the glitterati welcomed Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher as cameras rolled inside the resort’s 2.5-acre casino for the upcoming comedy, “What Happens In Vegas…”. While the director captured the slot machines on celluloid, high rollers and A-listers visiting Planet Hollywood can bring their A-game to 10 poker tables, or they can try their luck at roulette, baccarat or blackjack.
Lensing on the romantic romp began in Las Vegas after a late September 2007 shoot at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York, Newsday reports. A star in its own right, the elegant, Jazz Age-era edifice, which was an architectural inspiration of F. Scott Fitzgerald when writing “The Great Gatsby,” was first seen on the silver screen in the epic which the American Film Institute would deem the greatest movie of all time, “Citizen Kane”.
