While the bright lights of Tinseltown may have lured Austin native Benjamin McKenzie away from his home town, Texas still tugs at the actor’s heartstrings, and in mid-October 2007 the former star of “The O.C.” was once again spotted in the Live Music Capital of the World. From Celtic-tinged tunes at Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant to blues-based riffs at Antones, Austin’s Warehouse district offers a melange of musical styles, and according to The Austin American-Statesman, the small screen star, who will move audiences with his poignant portrayal of a wounded World War I soldier in the upcoming movie “Johnny Got His Gun,” was among the privileged patrons who gained access inside the district’s ultra-elite nightclub Gruv, 5th Street’s sanctuary of sound where DJ Boombai spins the hottest hip hop and house hits.
