101807: Ryan Reynolds Filming in Pennsylvania
Since the turn of the 20th century, the laughter of both the young and the young at heart have echoed each summer throughout West Mifflin, Pennsylvania's answer to old-fashioned, family fun, Kennywood Park. Sentimental favorites like the wooden Jack Rabbit roller coaster, which has made visitors squeal since 1921, and the carved horses, lions and tigers on the merry-go-round that have borne generations of children on their backs will soon be immortalized on the big screen in "Adventureland," a 2009 coming-of-age comedy which will feature "Blade: Trinity" star Ryan Reynolds, Jesse Eisenberg from the teen horror flick "Cursed" and Kristen Stewart, who co-starred with Jodie Foster in "The Panic Room." According to MSNBC, the Tinseltown trio will film scenes among the park's many rides through November 6, 2007.For those looking to traipse in the footsteps of the stars, Kennywood Park will open its gates for the 2008 season in mid-May, while intrepid trick-or-treaters can dare to amble through the amusement park as it transforms into "Phantoms Fright Nights" for Halloween each dusk through October 27, 2007.
