Even though soccer player Darren Byfield received a number of presents at his birthday party in Birmingham, England on October 7, 2007, the love of his life, pop star Jamelia, gave the Bristol City striker a gift that will last a lifetime when she accepted his proposal of marriage. In the presence of friends and relatives, ITN reports that the prospective groom dropped down on one knee to ask the mother of his two-year-old daughter to be his bride. The UK chart-topper, who only recently reunited with her love of the past three years following a separation over the summer, has not announced a wedding date.
