82107: Jessica Simpson Films Movie at The Strand Theatre
The historic Strand Theatre, which once announced the arrival of Hollywood's latest hit movies on its lighted marquee, will become a star in its own right when two cinematic ventures debut on the big screen in 2008. Shreveport station KSLA reported that the landmark Louisiana opera house, which today showcases off-Broadway performances and musical acts, provided an elegant backdrop for Jessica Simpson in mid-August 2007 as the singer/actress stepped in front of the camera to film a scene for her upcoming comedy, "Major Movie Star." The edifice's flapper era architecture will also offer dramatic detailing for the dark storyline behind "The Pardon," which will feature "Sin City" star Jamie King and Jason Lewis of "Sex and The City" fame.Labels: Celebrity Travel
