082807: Texas Wedding for Willa Ford and NHL Star Mike Modano
All of the arduous hours of dance instruction Willa Ford endured as a contestant on the third season of "Dancing With The Stars" paid off on August 25, 2007 as the singer and one-time Playboy model took to the dance floor with her new husband, Dallas Stars hockey player Mike Modano, at their wedding reception. The post-nuptial festivities were held following a sunset ceremony on Barefoot Ranch, a 3,000-acre private estate in the picturesque Northeast Texas town of Athens. The Dallas Morning News reported that 75 guests traveled from the town's Holiday Inn Express hotel to the Athens spread, where the groom's teammate Darryl Sydor and ice hockey legend Brett Hull stood by the NHL star for support as he watched the bride, dressed in a creation of her own design, walk down the aisle. As evening shadows began to stretch across the estate, the groom solidified his four year roller coaster romance with his bride by presenting the entertainer with a wedding band to accompany the round cut diamond engagement ring she has worn since Thanksgiving 2006.Labels: Celebrity Weddings
