72307: Tottenham Hotspurs Striker Sets Wedding Date
Family and friends of Tottenham Hotspurs striker Jermain Defoe and his love Charlotte Meares have circled July 5, 2008 on their calendars. The couple, who became engaged on Valentines Day 2007 while enjoying a romantic repast at the Auberge du Lac restaurant, located on the 543-acre Brocket Hall estate in Hertfordshire, England, are planning to pledge their devotion on that date in a wedding ceremony held at a castle in Cambridge, according to UK newspaper The Mirror. The sports figure will be far from the first soccer player to exchange vows at a castle venue. Djibril Cisse wed Jude Littler at Bodelwyddan Castle in 2005, Will Haining said "I do" to model Michelle Marsh at Auchen Castle Hotel in June 2007 and soccer icon David Beckham was united in marriage with Victoria Adams in 1999 at Luttrellstown Castle.Labels: Celebrity Weddings
