61007: Soccer Star Arjen Robben's Dutch Wedding
A crowd of admirers waited outside of the Stadsschouwburg Theatre on June 9, 2007 to watch Dutch soccer star Arjen Robben and his high school sweetheart Bernadien Eillert, who had announced their engagement in February 2007, emerge from the building and release white doves into the Groningen sky in their first official act together as husband and wife. Earlier that afternoon, the bride had clutched a calla lily bouquet and stepped inside the city theatre, where 150 friends and family members respectfully stood as she walked down the aisle in her white, strapless wedding dress toward the Chelsea striker, who had donned a beige suit for the occasion.Labels: Celebrity Weddings
