Who: singer
Michelle Branch and musician Teddy Landau When: May
23, 2004 Where: The
couple recited their vows at Isla Pardito, Mexico. The Ceremony:
As the waves lapped at the tiny yacht bearing the couple and
four of their closest friends on a romantic, seafaring jaunt
near the quaint, secluded fishing village of Isla Perdito, the
vessel's capitan pronounced the pair husband and wife. During
the service, the groom slipped a wedding band on the bride's
finger which would accompany a vintage 1930's diamond and platinum
engagement ring purchased from Claude Morady Estate Jewelry. The Dress: The
bride incorporated local elements into her wedding ensemble
by creating an array of necklaces formed from fishing wire and
seashells from the area, which she wore over her traditional
white, full-length gown by Morgan Le Fay. Although hidden beneath
her garment, the bride adhered to the relaxed atmosphere of
the event by donning flip-flops, which were also worn by the
groom, combined with white trunks emblazoned with a hibiscus
pattern and a long-sleeve white shirt. The Reception: Happy childhood memories surely came flooding back to the bride and groom and their quartet of friends as they nibbled on a wedding cake concocted from Pillsbury Funfetti mix, and before the festivities concluded the singer presented each guest with a memento of their joyous outing-- one of the self-made necklaces she wore close to her heart during the nuptials.
