A cornucopia of multi-colored sugar flowers interspersed with faux lemons, pears and green apples cascaded along the side of Billy Joel's four-tier chocolate wedding cake created by Sylvia Weinstock, who reveals a few of her culinary secrets in her book "Sweet Celebrations."

Known for her flamboyant creations, Sylvia Weinstock also fashioned the 10-foot tall array of baby pink, sky blue and white flowers which clung to the cake served at Star Jones Reynolds wedding banquet held at the Waldorf-Astoria.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline may have requested down home cooking for their wedding reception, but the cake they chose was a culinary masterpiece presented on a bed of roses. The two-tier, Perfect Endings buttercream cake encased in white chocolate featured clusters of dainty sugar roses accented with green leaves.

Although Tori Spelling's 2004 wedding to Charles Shanian incorporated a Great Gatsby theme, the couple's five-tier wedding cake by Perfect Endings was a tribute to the Victorian era, complete with scrollwork, drapes and sugar roses.

Perfect Endings also created the Victorian-inspired, five-tier cake served to guests at the wedding of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. Adorned with delicate sugar roses, within the heavenly pastel icing was a red velvet chocolate filling.

Actress Amy Acker's "Angel"-ic Reva Mivasagar wedding gown was the inspiration behind her three-tier Perfect Endings cake, which was accented with bands of edible pearls and sprinkled with crimson roses, which mirrored the flowers tucked in the bride's chignon.

"Angel" co-star Alexis Denisof and his bride, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" cast member Alyson Hannigan enjoyed the cake served at their friend Amy Acker's wedding so much that they also chose Perfect Endings to create their four-tier cake, which was topped with roses in full bloom.

For childhood sweethearts Drew Lachey and Lea Dellecave there's no place like home, so on their special day the Cincinnati-born former member of 98 Degrees chose hometown patisserie BonBonerie to concoct a four-tier cake embellished with rows of edible pearls and a lily-of-the-valley pattern. BonBonerie has been in business for over 20 years, providing specialty cakes, cookie cutouts, and a tea room in their Cincinnati showroom for sophisticated soirees.

Every day is a gift to be cherished when you're in love, and the confection created for T-Boz (Tionne Watkins) and D'Mon "Mack" Rolison by Rosebud Cakes visually captured that sentiment by forming each of the cake's five tiers into the shape of gift boxes.

The wedding of basketball giant Shaquille O'Neal and Shaunie Nelson was infused with a decidedly regal theme, from the diamond-studded crown adorning the ring box to a wedding cake resting on a sleigh. The multi-tiered confection by Rosebud Cakes was fashioned in the shape of silver-tassled cushions and topped with a tiara.

Rosebud Cakes also concocted the six-tier cake encased in white frosting which was delivered to the Malibu estate of TV executive Marcy Carsey for the wedding of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

When newlyweds John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn cut into their pyramid-shaped cake of pale sugar roses the dark chococate angel food center was revealed. The confection, which took one hundred laborious hours to create, was brought to fruition by Fantasy Frostings, whose cake designs have been featured in Modern Bride, Elegant Bride and InStyle Weddings.

Tennis star Pete Sampras and actress Bridgette Wilson requested that real roses rest upon the top of each layer of their three-tier lemon and strawberry cake, which was concocted by Sweet Lady Jane Bakery, who have fashioned wedding cakes for Jennifer Lopez, Larry King and Carnie Wilson.

Along with a repast created by Wolfgang Puck, guests at the wedding of "Dawson's Creek" star James Van Der Beek and actress Heather McComb also dined on slices of a four-tier, triple berry Sweet Lady Jane creation.

Sweet Lady Jane also helped rocker Melissa Etheridge and actress Tammy Lynn Michaels celebrate their union with a four-tier buttercream cake accented with a garden of pink English roses which echoed the rose petals sprinkled upon the aisle as they made their way to the altar.

Former "Baywatch" babe Traci Bingham filled her wedding day with personal touches, from the musical garter which could play "Here Comes The Bride" hidden beneath the yards of duchesse satin of her Escada gown, to the topper on her wedding cake-- a miniature version of the swing the couple sat upon when the groom proposed which adorned the oval five-tier cake made by Ames, Iowa-based Especially Cakes.

The Dumont, New Jersey bakery La Petite Patisserie provided the six-tier raspberry cake which "Sopranos" actress Jamie-Lynn DiScala served to her guests. A sprinkling of roses on the icing mirrored the botanical beauty of the table centerpieces, which were composed of roses, snapdragons, hydrangeas orchids and lilies.

The six-tier chocolate and vanilla confection "Law and Order:SVU" star Mariska Hargitay ordered from Very Different Cakes was one of the last created by the husband and wife team which form the company. Today the entrepeneurs design innovative cake toppers fashioned from Swarovski crystals.

A halo of purple, blue and seafoam green flowers embraced each layer of country singer Wynonna Judd's six-tier cake, which was decorated with a white meringue frosting by the husband and wife team of Leland and Steve Riggan, who together form DessertDesigns, a company serving the Nashville area for almost three decades.

"X-Men" star James Marsden's wedding to soap star Lisa Linde was filled with personal touches. In place of traditional rice or bird seed, guests blew bubbles as the newlyweds made their exit from the Union Square Hotel in Nashville, the site of the nuptials and the wedding reception, where attendees sampled a three-tier almond-almaretto cake created by Dessert Designs which was accented with peach-colored sugar calla lilies and topped with two action figures from the groom's hit sci-fi movie, dressed in a tux and wedding gown.

For "ER" actor Noah Wyle and his bride Tracy Warbin, their special day was all about family, including those with four legs. Tiny representations in porcelain of the couple's three canine companions graced the four-tier cake created by Christine Dahl Pastries.

Scarlet roses separate each of the five tiers that make up country singer Leann Rimes' white chocolate and strawberry cake made by Arturo Diaz, whose culinary craftsmanship has been the pride of Frosted Art Bakery for the past 30 years.

Brooke Shields and Suzanne Somers were just two of the celebrity guests to sample The Cake Studio's white chocolate buttercream cake served at Jenny McCarthy's nuptials, each of its five tiers.

Linda Goldsheft of The Cake Studio also provided "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer and his bride Camille with a creation decorated with lavender ribbons wrapped around each of the cake's five buttercream-covered tiers, which were composed white chocolate and raspberry.

Orchids accented the four-tier passion fruit cake enclosed in a layer of cream-cheese icing that was served at the Hawaiian nuptials of "Friends" star Matt LeBlanc and his bride, Melissa McKnight.
