Applications and/or Documents Required: Bring along original copies of the following (and be sure pack these in your hand luggage, never in your checked bags):

Photo ID such as Drivers License, state ID, or passport

Certified Birth Certificate

Social Security Card

Common Law Marriages are legal in the state of Utah. A common law marriage is a situation where a man and woman have never had a formal wedding ceremony but may be declared husband and wife. In order for a common law marriage to be filed, the following qualifications must be met:

• Both parties must be competent and able to be married.
  
• Both must be living together for an extended period of time as man and wife.
  
• Both have assumed marital responsibilities and duties.
  
• Both must have presented themselves to others as a married couple (such as using the same last name, having a joint bank account, or filing a joint tax return).Cousin Marriages are legal in the state of Utah if both people are over the age of 65, or if over the age of 55 and can provide proof of sterility.
