Maine Marriage Regulations

Applications and/or Documents Required: Bring along original copies of the following (and be sure pack these in your hand luggage, never in your checked bags):

• photo id

• Social Security numbers

• certified divorce decree, if applicable

Residency Requirements: none. Residents of Maine must apply for a license in the country in which one resides. If both the bride and groom reside outside the state, they may apply for their license in any county and may be married anywhere in Maine.

Waiting Period: three days after application for license

Blood Test: None.
