Connecticut Marriage Regulations Applications and/or Documents Required: Marriage licenses are issued by municipalities in Connecticut. Bring along original copies of the following (and be sure pack these in your hand luggage, never in your checked bags): identification (This can be a passport, visa, military ID card, driver's license, birth certificate or state ID card.) Social Security cards proof of divorce isn't required but you will need to swear that you are providing all information on prior marriages Residency Requirements: none Waiting Period: none --but read on for detailed medical information you'll need to obtain before the marriage license Blood Test: For years, Connecticut had very complicated premarital certificate rules; this was recently repealed.
