How to Get Married in Malta To have a civil wedding in Malta, you'll need the following:
These documents must accompany the Application and Sworn Declarations (Forms RZ1 and RZ2, obtained from the Marriage Registry). You'll need to send in your forms not more than three months in advance of your wedding but not less than six weeks before the date. If you send in your forms and all's in order, you can marry the next day after arriving in Malta. Catholic marriages may be performed as well; you'll need all the above as well as Baptism certificates for both, conf+irmation certificates for both, and a completed pre-nuptial form from your diocese. (If either the bride or groom is Catholic but the other is not, you'll have slightly different rules to follow.) Both independent wedding planners and hotel wedding planners in Malta may assist with the details including the paperwork. Related
