How to Get Married in Nunavut Marriage licenses
are available from the Vital Statistics office of the department
of Health and Social Services in Iqauit NU. You may also obtain
a marriage license from a Marriage License Issuer, located in
many northern communities Applications and/or
Documents Required: Bring along original copies of the following
(and be sure pack these in your hand luggage, never in your checked
bags):
If previously married,
a certified copy of the final divorce decree, or death certificate
if marriage ended due to death of spouse You will also need
to know the following information:
