Weddings in Belize are easy to arrange, thanks to local laws. Many resorts have on-site wedding coordinators to help with every detail from paperwork to photography and you'll also find independent wedding planners who can assist with the details. Applications and/or Documents Required: Bring along original copies of the following (and be sure pack these in your hand luggage, never in your checked bags): proof of citizenship, either a valid passport or an original birth certificate with a raised seal or signed by a notary public; must include father's name proof of divorce, if applicable death certificate if you are a widow or widower Waiting Period: You will need to be in Belize for three days before applying for your license however you can apply before you arrive by faxing the Registrar General's Office in Belize City at 501.227.0085 or by phoning 501.227.7377 or 501.227.2053. There is a one day notice required before you apply for your license at the Attorney General's Ministry. Cost: Cost: US $100 for license, US $5 for Administrative fees Witnesses: You will need two witnesses. Blood Test: No blood test is required.
