Getting married in the Islands of the Bahamas is a simple task. Marriage Regulations:
Blood Test: No blood test is necessary. Fees: The marriage license fee is US$100. Waiting Period: 1 day Obtaining Your Marriage License: Most larger hotels have wedding consultants on staff to help take care of paperwork or you can file directly with the office of the Registrar General in Nassau (weekdays 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); Tel: (242) 322-3316, Fax: (242) 322-5553. When the license is granted, the commissioners office on the island where the marriage will take place is notified of the upcoming event. If you are marrying on any island other than New Providence (where Nassau is located), you can get your Marriage License at the Commissioners Office on that island; you do not need to come to Nassau. For More Information: If you have questions, contact the Tourism Office or call 888.NUPTIAL. Related
