AirTran Airways recently upgraded its A+ Rewards program by allowing customers to redeem larger amounts of credits for free flights on any airline, anywhere in the world. You’ll need to earn 32 points to earn Roundtrip coach ticket on another airline in the contiguous 48 US states or 100 points to obtain a roundtrip coach ticket on another airline anywhere else in the world. American Airlines has launched a new online redemption program allowing AAdvantage members to redeem miles for awards other than flights. Continental Airlines

Starting this fall, Continental Airlines will be in a codeshare partnership with Hawaii’s Island Air. Connecting flights to Kahului, Kapalua West-Maui, Kona, Hilo, Lihue, Lanai and Molokai will be included. Midwest Airlines

Midwest Airlines today has added Rewards Network Inc. to its list of frequent flyer partners. Now members of the Midwest Airlines Midwest Miles program can earn up to 5 miles per dollar spent at more than 20,000 restaurants and participating hotels across the United States and Canada. Northwest Airlines

Northwest is once again offering its Fly Free Faster program. You’ll need to register by Sept. 15 for the promotion, although transactions can be dated as late as Sept. 30. You can earn up to 10,000 miles through the program by first registering performing one qualifying activity and earning five partner credits from WorldPerks partners.

The qualifying activities are:

Take either two qualifying domestic roundtrip flights (or four qualifying domestic one-way flights) on Northwest Airlines, KLM, Northwest Airlink, or as part of a NWA WorldVacations package. You’ll register prior to program participation by visiting www.nwa.com. If you don’t have a registration number, enter number 8825.

  • Apply for, be approved, and pay the annual fee for a new WorldPerks Visa Card (for US residents from the 50 states only).
  • Purchase a new WorldClubs membership for a minimum of one year.
    To earn your mileage bonus, you need to earn a minimum of five partner credits after registering for the program. You’ll find both one- and two-credit transactions including:
  • New service with MCI or Earthlink (2 credits)
  • Service and new phone activation from Nextel or T-Mobile (2 credits)
  • Buy, sell, finance or refinance your home with Lending Tree (2 credits)
  • Purchase a minimum of 5000 WorldPerks miles (2 credits)

Marriott

Marriott Rewards has reduced the number of points needed to book a vacation with the Marriott Rewards PointSavers. You’ll save up to 33 percent on points needed to earn a vacation at participating destinations. With the program, all Marriott PointSaver hotels are discounted one category. For example, a category five hotel usually requires 25,000 Marriott Reward points for one night; with PointSavers, it can be redeemed as a category 4 points or 20,000 Marriott Reward points. Awards may be booked now for stays through Sept. 30. Participating brands include Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, TownePlace Suites by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott and Marriott Vacation Club International. Wyndham

Wyndham ByRequest members can now opt to be rewarded for hotel stays by earning American Express Membership Rewards points instead of frequent flyer miles. To change your preference, go to www.wyndham.com, sign in, and select the Airline and Partner Rewards option.

To earn Membership Rewards points, you must be enrolled in both the Membership Rewards program and the Wyndham ByRequest program at the time of stay. This offer is valid through Dec. 31, 2005. Avis & USAirways

USAirways’s Dividend Miles members can receive 1,000 bonus miles and a free one-car group upgrade on your next rental. The offer is good for Intermediate through Full size four-door cars at any participating Avis airport location in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean through December 31, 2005. There are some holiday blackouts and the offer’s subject to availability.
