from How to Make Every Trip a Honeymoon
Call your hotel concierge before your stay about ways to
make your stay extra specialwhether that means filling the room
with roses or balloons, making restaurant reservations, or getting show
tickets. Pretend theres a power outage at your hotel. Light
a candle. Leave off the TV. See what romantic add-ons your hotel offers, from a honeymoon
package to a la carte items. Even all inclusives offer special romantic
touches at a price. Some resorts offer petal-strewn walkways from your
door to your bed. Others have a butler draw you a bath specially scented
with herbs and lit by candles.Ask for the TV to be removed from your guest
room. Ask the bellman to take a picture of the two of you in
your guest room. Ask for a room away from the street for a quiet stay. Be sure to request a room with a tuband an oversize
sized if the property offers them. Book the honeymoon suite.
Check to see that your bed and breakfast does not allow
children. Ask for a Jacuzzi tub room. Check with your hotel for availability of in-room videoplayers.
Pack an x-rated video. (Check on local pornography laws for international
trips, though.) Consider a couples-only resort. With an emphasis on fun
two-by-two, the mood is conducive to romance. Consider an adults-only resort. Youll especially
find many properties in the Caribbean that allow only guests over age
Fill a bath then sprinkle it with some local flower petals. Find a hotel room with a private plunge pool or hot tub. Have a pillow fight. Have your own disco in the privacy of your room. Set your
own dress or undresscode. Have your own New Years Eve celebration...even though
its not! Dont forget the bubbly and the countdown to a new
day youll spend together. Have your own toga party using the hotel sheets! If you rent a room with a private plunge pool, pack some
floating candles to tun the pool into a magical enclave. No plunge pool?
Fill the tub and sink with water and watch the glow from the bed. Leave the TV off in your hotel room. Order room service and eat without using utensils. Reserve the honeymoon package, whether or not its
your honeymoon. Spend the night in an authentic castlepreferably
one thats haunted! Youll find numerous castles in the UK with
accommodations (and many also double as wedding sites!) Try to book the same room where the two of you stayed before. If it was years ago, set the scene by bringing along some songs you enjoyed then.
