ANTIGUA
AND BARBUDA
At the resort restaurants,
you'll find familiar dishes on the menu as well as a few island
specialties such as christ- ophine, a type of squash; pepperpot,
a spicy stew; afungi, a pudding of cornmeal and okra; and ducana,
a pudding made from grated sweet potato and coconut, sugar,
and spices boiled in a banana leaf. Save a little room to finish
off your meal with a taste of the sweet Antigua black pineapple.
The most popular beer on the island is Wadadli, made locally.
