Antonette Marie's Wedding Chapel & Social Manor, located adjacent to one such bed and breakfast, has been the site of numerous weddings for the past seven years. We recently spoke with Toni about both Fredericksburg's and the wedding chapel's special attractions.

What makes Fredericksburg a unique wedding destination?

Fredericksburg is a great wedding destination because it is unique and quaint. The German Heritage, the old buildings on Main St. that date way back and now house a lot of shops and restaurants are but a few attractions.

What are some of the region's top attractions?

For guests, there are a lot of things to do and see. Enchanted Rock, Lady Bird Golf Course, Nimitz Museum, Bush Gallery , famous Luckenbach, Texas have all put Fredericksburg as one of the best choices to target for there memorable occassion. There are numerous motels and over 400 B&B's to choose from. Lot's of romantic B&B's, especially for that honeymoon couple.

All of my weddings and/or receptions follow a chosen package plan. I coordinate, setup/cleanup, make sure everything is in order for that big day. We can do very simple(for only two) or we can accommodate up to 60 guests. All the bride really has to do is tend to her personal wants and needs, make choices concerning the cake, flowers, minister, band/dj etc.

Once all of that is done, all she has to do is show up and it's ready for her and guests to enjoy. The rest we take care of. There are three choices for the wedding, inside, patio or gazebo areas. I'm in my 7th year and can honestly say no two weddings have ever been alike. It's a fun and very rewarding profession and we promise to make it a day you will always remember whether it be simple or very elegant.

What are the wedding regulations for non-residents?

It is not difficult for non-residents to get married in the state of Texas. The license has to be purchased in any county in the state of Texas , has to be 72 hours old and no older than 30 days. You will need your ID.

What's your top wedding plan?

The top package I offer is the Grand Plan. It is a wedding with their choice of minister, complete cake and punch reception, overnight lodging for two, horse and carriage ride.
