Cochitta B&B
Along with her husband Dave, Kim Boger owns and operates the Cali Cochitta B&B in scenic southern Utah. The inn, whose name means "House of Dreams" in the Aztec language, has a reputation both as a romantic retreat and a wonderful wedding caterer, thanks to Dave's 20 years in the restaurant and private club industry. We recently spoke with Kim about the romantic aspects of the Cali Cochitta B&B. Describe your most romantic room. I would have to say they are all very lovely but probably the most romantic would be the Cane room. It's furnishings are very elegant and comfortable. It makes you want to move right in. The pedestal bed with steps is very beautiful. Along with the big screen T.V. and other furnishings in the room, make guests want to spend the day lounging in its surroundings. Pretend you are a couple visiting your property for the first time. What would you plan for your special weekend? I would definitely plan on hiking into the Delicate Arch. Such beauty you've never seen before. Along with the other arches in the Arches National Park would take up one day at least. The Canyonlands National Park Island in the Sky offers different arches and views and incompasses the Dead Horse State Park wich has a scenic view point and a wonderful place to watch a romantic sunset. Plenty to do here as well. At least one day. The lower Canyonlands called Needles district offers incredible day hikes or for those a little more adventuresome, may want to spend 1 day hiking in and overnighting it. I would also plan on doing a river rafting trip. Different daily packages are offered as well as overnight trips. There is a wonderful night float that also serves dinner. Mountain biking is a must. The world famous Slick Rock bike trail just five miles from the Bed & Breakfast as well as many other very popular trails for beginners up to the most advanced riders. There is something for everyone!!! There is a guided tour (sign up required) into the Firey Furnace which I would definitely spend a day doing. Along with romantic places to eat in the area, the Cali Cochitta B&B also serves very upscale fine dining meals. Guests have told us that we are definitely equal to five diamond restaurants throughout the world. This is a definite must!!! What are some of the most unique aspects of your property?
What's a typical breakfast at your B&B? Our breakfasts make consist of a Grand Marnier French Toast served with fresh sliced strawberries and our secret cream sauce, sausage made by our local butcher or possibly a crab quiche served with our almond torte and fresh fruit cup with our homemade granola. Fresh orange juice, coffee and tea served with breakfast. What the best time of year to visit your property? Anytime!!! The area's tourist season begins in March and typically ends the end of October. However, we have found ourselves taking advantage of the beautiful weather in November through February hiking up to the delicate arch and other hiking trails as well as mountain biking. It is a wonderful time to visit Moab as well. Are
there any local festivals or special events of special interest to There are several festivals and events that inspire the interests of travelers. We have the Music Festival, Jeep Safari, Fat Tire Festival, Arts Festival, Bike Races, Film Festivals and many many more. Do you host weddings at your property? We offer weddings packages at the B&B. We can host the actual wedding or do just the reception. Prices range based on per person pricing as well as rental of the entire grounds. We offer a range of menus and pricing. Our most unique wedding was guests that did a Japanese theme. It was sooo beautiful with all the fresh flowers, oragami and food was to die for. What can I say it was wonderful!!
